Today I’m thankful for the women I work with. As we sat through training tonight I was reminded how much I love these ladies. I spend a lot of time with them and I am so thankful for them to be in my life!!

Today I am thankful for our troops and all they do for us.

They truly do not get paid enough, or get enough recognition.

So to all of the troops, past and present, thank you. Thank you for defending our freedom. Thank you for making this nation what it is. Thank you for being the first ones to respond when disasters strike and for being the voice of the American people worldwide. And most of all thank you for your sacrifice – the willingness to put your life on the line, the willingness to leave your friends and family’s to fight for the American people.

And to the families if those who’s husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, and other family members serve in the military- thank you for your sacrifice as well. Thank you for sharing your loved ones with us so that we may have a sense of security, dependability, and most of all freedom. Some of you have had to make sacrifices far beyond what you ever imagined, so for that I thank you.

Today I’m thankful for my friend Jennifer Hubbard. Today is her birthday!!!

I am thankful for Jennifer for many reasons. She has been a true friend through and through. She gives without thinking and would do anything for her friends. She has always been there to lend a helping hand and a warm hug.

I am so thankful for our friendship. I’m thankful for the way she loves me despite my flaws. I love how transparent and honest we can be with each other.

I’m thankful for her sense of humor and how I always have a good time around her.

So for today I am thankful for Jennifer and the gift of friendship, and the power friendships can hold.

Smiles. There’s something so simple about a smile, but so much power behind one. It’s kind of quite amazing how a simple smile can turn your day around. There’s also something about how every single thing in the world seems right when your baby smiles at you.

And lots of times smiles turn into laughter, which just makes life a lot easier. So I am so thankful for the simple gift of a smile today.

Thankful day 8

Relaxation. It isn’t something I have much time for these days.

With the stresses that come along with being a parent of a child of any age, moments to unwind are few and far between.

So tonight I find myself very thankful for a moment to relax. Noah is in bed, and though I’m sure the laundry will need to be switched to the dryer pretty soon, and bottles still have to be made and the list goes on… I’m just enjoying a moment to slow down. A moment to reflect on the day, and a moment to fall more in love with my Savior. Thank you sweet, sweet Jesus.

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, β€œCome with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” (Mark 6:31 NIV)

I belong to a BIG family. One I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. Amongst the craziness of this world I am beyond thankful for my family.

I’m thankful for the way they love and support me. And the way they teach me patience πŸ˜‰ I love how all of us are nothing alike but completely alike all at the same time. There is never a dull moment with this crew that is for sure.

I’m truly blessed to belong to such a fun, loving and big family. At times it’s crazy. And I imagine we put the fun in dysfunctional but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m thankful today that regardless of who is in The White House, that Jesus still sits on his throne and is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Enough said.

There are events that have taken place in our nation lately that remind me just how blessed I am. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy I am reminded that there are many needs so much greater than mine. I am so thankful today for shelter. Often times I forget how blessed I am to have a roof over my head and a warm bed to sleep in at night.

It’s something we do everyday. We get off work we go HOME. Or if you don’t work and your a stay at home mom (or dad) then that’s exactly where you reside. At home. And for most of us we don’t have to worry about having a place to sleep tonight. We know that when we go home we will go home to a house where there is water, and heat, and electricity etc… But for many they won’t have that luxury tonight.

So thank you Jesus for my home and the people in it. And thank you for preparing a room for me in Your house. Amen.

Thankful day 4

Today I am thankful for Ebenezer Weekday. I am thankful for them for a multitude of reasons. They love my child like he is their own. I have absolutely no doubt that Noah is in great hands there.

Another reason I love EWM is because that is where I work. I am so blessed to have a job where I love what I do. There are days that aren’t so easy, don’t get me wrong but, I think we all have those days. At EWM I blessed to get to work with people that I truly love, and they love me (Or at least they do a good job of pretending).
I’m so blessed to have a job that allows me to provide for myself and Noah. Beyond blessed. I am so thankful to have two amazing bosses that I know would do anything for me.

I am also INCREDIBLY blessed that I get to watch my own child where I work. I am in a position many people wish they could have and for that I am incredibly thankful.

Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.

Thankful day 3

Let me tell you about the most incredible woman I know. My mother. Today I am so thankful for my mother, for all that she is to me, for all that she does for me, and all that she does for others. My momma is the most selfless woman I know, always giving of herself so that the ones she love can have more. She loves me despite ALL of my flaws and imperfections. She has seen me at my highs and lows and supported me through all of it. I am so thankful for the way she loves me.

She has shown me a glimpse of what Jesus’ love looks like. And for that I will be forever grateful.

I am thankful for her sense of humor and the way she makes me laugh. I’m thankful for the way I’ve found a best friend in her. There really aren’t enough words to describe the amount of love and gratitude I have for this woman.
